Following the unresolved £20,000 deposit issue, many members of the public — including donors, community members, and supporters of Angura Mohammed Pur Madrassa — have naturally begun asking wider questions about IQRA Foundation UK’s assets, property holdings, and financial structure. These questions do not assume wrongdoing. They arise simply because the charity’s 2025 Trustees’ Report contains significant gaps in areas where UK‑registered charities normally provide clarity.
Because IQRA Foundation UK publicly associates itself with the madrassa, and because funds are raised in the madrassa’s name, it is reasonable for the public — and for the madrassa itself — to expect full transparency.
The following section summarises what the 2025 report does disclose, what it does not disclose, and the information the public has formally requested. This is not an accusation. It is a request for clarity, which is standard for any charity handling community funds.
The report confirms that the charity now owns three investment properties. A third property was purchased for £222,493. Total tangible fixed assets increased from £300,112 to £513,337. Rental income for the year was £21,167.
Approximately £53,000 was spent on supporting nearly 1,000 students in Bangladesh. Total programme expenditure: £63,254.
The charity reports no staff costs, no salaries, and no National Insurance contributions.
